It was all glitz and glamour recently when our Managing Director, Heather Hamill-Vaughan attended a Strictly Come Dancing charity event, which was hosted by Via Wings in the Crowne Plaza, Belfast. 💃Proparamedics is delighted to support the charity which is working to raise vital funds to establish a Children’s Wellbeing Centre that will serve the communities of Dromore, Dromara, Kinallen, Waringsford, Donaghcloney, Blackskull and the surrounding areas. Well done to all those who took part and to all those who dug deep to support such a fantastic cause. #Proparamedics #PrivateAmbulanceTransfer #PrivateAmbulance #sportsmedicalcover #sportsevents #sportseventnorthernireland #ambulanceservice #medicalservices #familybusiness #firstaidtraining #northernireland #northernirelandbusiness ... With the change in seasons, if you’ve noticed yourself feeling down, lethargic, demotivated or just in a bit of a funk, you’re not alone. Seasonal Affective Disorder, also known as SAD, is a form of depression that many people experience during the winter months, usually due to less daylight alongside the cold and wet weather. 🌧️ As difficult as living with SAD can be, there are a few things you can do to make those winter months that little bit easier – check out our graphic below which outlines a few ideas. Last year, Dr Lowri Kew, a GP from Devon in England, penned a very interesting article on the topic which offers further information on the condition and how you can help yourself or someone you know. Read here: www.england.nhs.uk/south/2023/01/09/gp-lowris-top-tips-for-getting-through-the-winter-blues/. #Proparamedics #SAD #SeasonalAffectiveDisorder #PrivateAmbulanceTransfer #PrivateAmbulance #sportsmedicalcover #sportsevents #sportseventnorthernireland #ambulanceservice #medicalservices #familybusiness #firstaidtraining #northernireland #northernirelandbusiness ... With the arrival of the colder weather and darker mornings and evenings, we can safely say that winter has well and truly arrived ❄️ It can be a particularly dangerous time of year, especially for elderly people, those living alone or those who are at an increased risk of having a fall, which could result in broken bones and a loss of independence. With some advanced planning, there are some things you can do to mitigate the risk of falling including investing in a pair of sturdy shoes with adequate grip, spreading salt on icy surfaces and keeping walkways clear. If you have an elderly neighbour or family member, checking in on them regularly and offering assistance with groceries or running errands would be a huge help when it comes to avoiding falls. If you or someone you know experiences a fall, call for medical assistance as soon as possible. #Proparamedics #MedicalMonday #PrivateAmbulanceTransfer #PrivateAmbulance #sportsmedicalcover #sportsevents #sportseventnorthernireland #ambulanceservice #medicalservices #familybusiness #firstaidtraining #northernireland #northernirelandbusiness ...
