COVID-19 UPDATE

The Covid-19 Pandemic has been an unprecedented situation for all of us.  As we move towards working and living with the Covid virus we are adapting the way we work here at Proparamedics.  The health and well-being of our staff and clients is always of paramount importance to us and as such we will continue with adherence to the government guidelines on all Infection Prevention and Control measures.

Throughout the pandemic our ambulances remained on the road and our personnel ready to meet our client’s needs.  We are also now delighted that our Training team is back in operation and whilst adhering to all current guidelines we are back to full training capacity.

Whilst we are back to the provision of all our services we are implementing a blended approach to the working arrangements for our office staff.  Our Weavers Court office is open however we have a smaller number of staff in on any one day.  Please note the following;

  • If you need to visit our premises please call in advance to ensure your needs can be met as the person you need to see may be working remotely
  • Meetings where possible are still being held remotely until further notice
  • If a face-to-face meeting is essential, then we will ask all attendees to wear face masks and we will ensure a meeting space is well ventilated and social distancing can be achieved
  • Our Infection Prevention and Control Team are ensuring that we follow all advice issued by the Statutory Bodies and our client, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS). We will continue to monitor all Government & Medical advice and review our operating procedures on an ongoing basis.

We appreciate this continues to be a challenging period for us all as we enter the winter period.  I know my staff are on hand as always to support our colleagues at NIAS as and when required. At Proparamedics we witness on a daily basis the lengths our Health and Social Care partners go to care for their patients and in recent times we have seen this more than ever before. We continue to wish them well in their endeavours. As an adaptable and flexible service provider we are responding to client’s needs for additional Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures and will continue to do so for as long as needed.

Should you have any questions about our IPC or other services, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards,

Heather Hamill-Vaughan
