This is the 3 day requalification course, you must have an in date certificate on the first day of the course.

The Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) (Level 3 RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, ideal for those looking to work or volunteer as a first responder.

Course Overview

This informative, hands-on 3-day course fulfils the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, providing the knowledge and practical skills needed to deal with a range of prehospital emergency care situations. The Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) covers; administration of emergency oxygen, management of trauma patients, major illnesses and much more.

Assessment Methods

6 x practical assessments/skills tests, 3 x theory assessments (multiple choice question papers), 1 x invigilated exam.

Nationally recognised and fully endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. All Learners must be at least 17 years old and possess reasonable numeracy and literacy skills.

The qualification comprises of 3 units:

First Response Emergency Care

First Response Emergency Care of Trauma

First Response Emergency Care of Medical Conditions

On successful completion of the course the student will be issued the First Response Emergency Care certificate valid for 3 years.
