Choosing a career in the healthcare sector is one of the most rewarding vocations despite the many challenges that come along with it. 👏 As Northern Ireland’s longest established independent ambulance provider, we have a team of paramedics, medical and administrative staff who play vital roles in helping Proparamedics to provide the highest quality healthcare to each and every one of our clients. To celebrate the breadth of roles within the sector, we spoke to Matthew Johnston, one of our Student Paramedics to learn more about his journey and what he would say to someone considering becoming a paramedic. According to recent statistics from Champion Health, one in 14 adults in the UK feel stressed every single day and 74% of people feel so stressed that they have been overwhelmed or unable to cope. Prolonged exposure to stress can have a detrimental impact on our overall health – mental and physical – and this #StressAwarenessMonth, we’re reminding our followers, clients and patients that small changes can make a huge difference. The theme of this year’s campaign is #LittleByLittle, and on the graphic below, we’re sharing some ideas on small steps that you can implement each day to better manage your stress. The NHS website also has lots of valuable information – check out the link below:www.nhs.uk/mental-health/feelings-symptoms-behaviours/feelings-and-symptoms/stress ... See MoreSee Less
