The Company 

Proparamedics Ltd is the leading independent ambulance service working across Ireland in partnership with Medicall Ambulance Services (Dublin). Due to continued expansion and project wins we are now recruiting First Aid personnel. Job Purpose (Ambulance Care Attendant)

To undertake first aid duties (within capabilities and competence), working as part of a team and assisting the extended skills staff as required and ensuring initiation and full and accurate completion of PRF’s (and all required documents).

Providing effective and efficient first aid practice, high quality, and professional care on which the best patient outcome depends.

Essential Criteria

  • A caring and empathetic attitude
  • Willingness to learn and take part in ongoing training
  • For suitable candidates, in-house training for a First Response Emergency Care Level 3 (FREC 3) qualification is available prior to taking up employment. Costs to be met by the applicant.
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Full Driving Licence with a minimum of one year’s driving experience. (Advanced / Blue light driving skills will also be considered, but not essential)

Desirable

  • Evidence of experience of previous ambulance attendant work and/or health sector care work
  • An Award in Education and Training or equivalent

About the Organisation

Proparamedics is the longest established independent ambulance company in Northern Ireland providing ambulances and medical personnel to both the public and private sectors. We provide additional support to the Health and Social Care Trusts and work with event organisers, repatriation and insurance companies and individual families supplying transport, personnel and the highest quality patient care. In addition, we have a dedicated education and training department ensuring our staff are fully trained and skilled at what they do. Under new ownership, Proparamedics has plans for expansion and are now seeking to build on their current management team and have an exciting role now available.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and ambitious Client Services & Operations Manager to lead the delivery of highquality, reliable, and customer focused services across our organisation. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring that service performance meets agreed standards, customer expectations, and organisational objectives.

Leading the operational and logistics teams you will drive continuous improvement, manage performance, and ensure that our services run efficiently, safely, and consistently. You will also work alongside the Business Development Manager ensuring client satisfaction and identifying new business leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daytoday delivery of services to ensure high-quality performance and customer satisfaction for clients such as event organisers,  Health and Social Care Trusts and private individuals.
  • Work with the Clinical Governance team to ensure patient care is integral to operational delivery.   
  • Monitor service KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics, taking proactive action to prevent service failures.
  • Manage, support, and develop teams to achieve excellence in service delivery.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Work with the Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities and where possible expand on current business activities. 
  • Lead incident management, escalations, and service recovery in a professional and timely manner.
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and user experience.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support budgeting, resource planning, and effective allocation of staff and assets.
  • Produce service performance reports, updates, and insights for senior leadership.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience of service delivery, operations and/or logistics management, or a similar leadership role of multi-disciplinary teams (including mobile staff such as ambulance/clinical crews) within the last 3 years.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite or similar business management software and ability to learn bespoke IT management systems.
  • Strong people management skills with proven ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collate and interpret data and drive improvement.
  • Experience handling escalations, serious adverse incidents, and performance issues.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience working within the health care sector and in particular transportation and/or provision of clinical personnel. 
  • Knowledge of integrated management systems and ISO 9001:2015 principles.
  • Experience managing contracts, SLAs, and thirdparty suppliers.
