FREC 4

The First Response Emergency Care level 4 (FREC 4) is a 5 day course that covers 3 unit modules,

• Patient assessment and management
• Emergency Trauma Care
• Focused Emergency and Urgent Care

This qualification is generally considered by most employers as equivalent to the NHS Emergency Care Assistant grade

Product Description

To accommodate all key elements we deliver in the following phases:

1. Pre-course reading – 20hrs
2. Face-to-face delivery of days 1 and 2 – 16hrs
3. 1-2 weeks off-course study including completion of Workbook 1 – 40hrs
4. Face-to-face delivery of days 3 and 4 – 16hrs
5. 3-4 weeks off-course study including completion of Workbooks 2 and 3 and revision time in preparation for invigilated exams – 81hrs
6. Face-to-face delivery of day 5 – 8hrs

Some times we will conduct the intensive 1 week course.

Prerequisites for attendance on this course:

Aged 18 years old or above
Within 3 years of completing a FREC 3 or FREC 3 refresher
